Focus: The Spirit of Counsel and Might

Text: Isa.11:2

"And the Spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him... the Spirit of counsel and might..."

The Holy Spirit is known as the Counselor, the believer's advocate, and too, as the Spirit of power. He infuses the believer with fresh power. The believer possesses the Spirit's ability in him and functions with fresh dynamism. No power shortage.

As a matter of fact, you can't have the Spirit of God in you and be powerless or clueless.

The Spirit advises, guides and leads. He is the wonderful counselor - our legal adviser, who has all the facts and knows the right thing to do about any given situation. He understands all of Satan's tricks or ploys.

He fills us with power to do God's will and achieve God's purposes. It's power for supernatural service and spiritual exploits.

He provides inner light and urges us in the right direction.

He reveals things that are hidden from sight and empowers us to achieve unusual feats to the glory of God.

Child of God, you lack nothing that God's Spirit can't supply. And never forget that the Spirit is indeed God living in and working with you. He guides and empowers. Amen.
