Text: Ps.149:5

"The Lord taketh pleasure in his people."

The Lord has put a word in my spirit to say to you. God says to you, 'I delight in you. I take pleasure in you. You are my treasure.' It is written, "Thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created" (Rev.4:11). God made you for His own pleasure. He is satisfied making and having you.

Moses tells it like it is: "He found him in a desert land, and in the waste howling wilderness; he led him about, he instructed him, he kept him as the apple of his eye" (Dt.32:10). God found and picked you up from a messy place, led and fed you from place to place, instructed and secured you as the apple of His eye.

God is not only delighted in you, but He is also happy to see you prosper. The psalmist joyfully sings, "Let the LORD be magnified, which hath pleasure in the prosperity of his servant" (Ps.35:27). He has good and great feelings as He observes your prosperity.

God is excited for the things you do to please Him. The psalmist sings, "Bless ye the LORD, all ye his hosts; ye ministers of his, that do his pleasure" (Ps.103:21). Make pleasing God the essence of your existence. He delights in those who do His will and pleasure His heart. The psalmist says that "the LORD taketh pleasure in them that fear him, in those that hope in his mercy" (Ps.147:11). God says about Cyrus, "He is my shepherd, and shall perform ALL my pleasure: even saying to Jerusalem, Thou shalt be built; and to the temple, Thy foundation shall be laid" (Isa.44:28). Isaiah declares concerning the Christ that "the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in his hand" (Isa.53:10). Cyrus would perform all of God's pleasures, and in Christ's hands, the pleasure of the Lord shall prosper. The Apostle Paul says, "For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure" (Phil.2:13).

God lives inside you, propelling you to do His good pleasure - everything that satisfies Him.

God takes pleasure in you and delights in everything you do to please Him. Your obedience gives Him maximum pleasure. Your faith thrills His heart. Your love excites Him. He smells the sweet fragrance of your prayers and intercessions. God is greatly pleased to see the light of your life shining out for the world to see and be drawn to Him.
