Focus: You Can't Hide It! (Pt.2)

Text: 1Tim.4:15

"Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all."

Faith in Christ is not a hidden affair. Like cough, you can't hide it. Like light, it can't be hidden. Those who possess real faith cannot hide it. 

Paul stood before noble Festus, and in defense of his faith, he said, "For the king knoweth of these things, before whom also I speak freely: for I am persuaded that none of these things are hidden from him; for this thing was not done in a corner" (Act.26:26). The story of our faith is not by-the-corner thing. The cross was a public event of history. It didn't happen in a corner. Indeed, it happened in the full glare of everyone, not in the backyard where no one could see or take notice.

Faith in Christ is like the ark of the covenant in the house of Obededom. The Scripture says, "And the ark of the LORD continued in the house of Obededom the Gittite three months: and the LORD blessed Obededom, and all his household. And it was TOLD king David, saying, The LORD hath blessed the house of Obededom, and all that pertaineth unto him, because of the ark of God" (2Sam.6:11,12). 

God never hides in any place. If God is in your life, He manifests Himself. His presence in your life can never be hidden. The news spread everywhere that Obededom and his household had been blessed because of the ark of God in his house. Just in three months, Obededom's life was greatly advanced. God manifested Himself in his life and in his household. 

Remember that "it was noised that he (Christ) was in the house" (Mk.2:1). I pray that Christ in your house will not be a hidden affair. I pray: let the good news of Him spread to others! Let someone notice the God you serve and the faith you possess. It is even amazing to see that the ark which was the national asset of all Israel was enjoyed by one man and his family.

The moment the news got to the royal palace, David immediately gave order to have the ark retrieved from Obededom's house. People will come for the beauty and blessings of Christ, which you possess. The Davids of today want the ark in your house - the Christ in your life. 

Faith in Christ produces harvests of timely and timeless benefits.

Our faith is resurrection centered. No one rises from the dead secretly. People would get to know about it. Here is what the Scripture says about the dead saints in the Old Testament: "And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose, And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and WENT into the holy city, and APPEARED unto many" (Mt.27:52,53). If you have truly experienced the resurrection life and power of Christ in your life, you would manifest it for every one to see. The resurrected saints went into the city of Jerusalem, appearing to many. You cannot hide your reality of God.

The Lord Jesus Christ says to His disciples, "Let your light so shine before men, that they may SEE your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven" (Mt.5:16). Light never hides. Men need to see your light shine, and they want to feel the impact of your good works. You cannot hide true faith, if indeed you possess it. Show your faith and reflect the Christ in you. Let your profiting appear to all men everywhere you are or go.
