Focus: You Are Beloved Of God

Text: Dan.10:11
"A man greatly beloved."
Three times in the book of Daniel he is described as being greatly beloved. In Dan.9:23, we read, "For thou art greatly beloved." In 10:11, we read, "O Daniel, a man greatly beloved…," and finally in Dan.10:19, we read, "O man greatly beloved…" I bring you this word from the Lord, that the Lord loves you greatly - extremely and eternally. His love for you is indescribably real. Like Daniel, you are greatly beloved of God.
Paul, writing to the believers in Rome, says, "To all that be in Rome, beloved of God, called to be saints," and to those in Thessaloniki, he says, "Brethren beloved of the Lord" (Rom.1:7; 2Thes.2:13). Nehemiah describes Solomon as a "king who was beloved of his God, and God made him king over all Israel…"(Neh.13:26). That is the same for you. You are the beloved of your God, and He has made you king, for as Paul said, "they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.)" (Rom.5:17). His love has put a scepter in your hand. He has made you a kingly priest or a royal priesthood. Indeed, you are God's beloved.
His love is:
*Liberating
*Overpowering
*Vaccinating, and
*Empowering.
For being loved by God, the psalmist says, "For so he giveth his beloved sleep" (Ps.127:2). The love of God is your sleeping pill. An overdose of God's love is very much okay. It calms your nerves, normalizes your blood pressure, puts your heart at rest, raises your faith level, and saturates your mind with lovely thoughts. The love of God is the pillow on which you rest your head. It is the mattress on which you sleep like a child. It is the wings by which you fly. Moses says of Benjamin, "The beloved of the LORD shall dwell in safety by him; and the LORD shall cover him all the day long, and he shall dwell between his shoulders" (Dt.33:12). Paul exclaims, "To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us ACCEPTED in the beloved" (Eph.1:6).
Christ is God's beloved, and in Him you are accepted - 'graced.' The love of God has beautified you with grace. You have the charm of grace. Paul writes, "Salute Apelles APPROVED in Christ" (Rom.16:10). You are 'graced' and 'approved' in Christ. You are loved, blessed, healed, and highly favored by God. You are blessed among men and above them. I pray you encounter this love in your life and enjoy it forever. Amen!
