Text: Judg.15:18

"He was sore athirst, and called on the Lord, and said, thou hast given this great deliverance into the hand of thy servant: and now shall I die for thirst?"

One thing about God is that He is capable, caring and reliable. John tells us that Christ loves His own to the end. He doesn't love us halfway. No, never! He loves us utterly, totally, extremely and eternally.

Through Samson God wrought great victory for Israel. With a jawbone of an ass, Samson slaughtered a thousand of the enemy of God's people. He decimated them by the supernatural strength of God. Just a little later, Samson was so thirsty that he felt like he was going to die of thirst at any moment. Under the scorching heat of the sun he saw his life fizzling out. He then wondered how God would let him die of thirst after using him so mightily to effect great deliverance for Israel.

Like Samson, we often find ourselves wondering where God's wonder went. We let our little minds wander. We ask ourselves why God who is all-powerful is reluctant to save us from something as insignificant as thirst.

We often worry for nothing. Worry means lack of faith in God. Listen, child of God, your God cares for you. He will not only use you to help others; He will also help you. He will not only deliver through your hands, but also deliver you. Christ said to His disciples, "Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not MUCH MORE clothe you, O ye of little faith?" (Mt.6:30). God does much more for His own people than He does for lesser creatures of His. The God of "much more" is your God. Just trust Him totally!

Christ said again, "If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how MUCH MORE shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?" (Mt.7:11).

Worry not about situations. Instead bring the situations to God's attention. Ask your Father in heaven for anything. He is a liberal giver.

Paul says, "He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?" (Rom.8:32). Trust God totally!

Samson cried out to God to save him, and right there and then, God opened his eyes to see water springing up from the ground and flowing through the jawbone with which he had killed his enemies. O God is a wonder worker! With so much excitement He called the place, En-Hakkore, which means, The spring of the caller or the fountain of the crier.

Child of God, there is a spring for those who call upon God. Right in the place of your tears God gives you a spring. Trust God totally! Your God is capable, caring and reliable. He will do much more for you.
