Focus: Total Deliverance
Text: 2Cor.1:10:
"Who DELIVERED us from so great a death, and doth DELIVER: in whom we trust that he will yet DELIVER us."
Here Paul gives us the word DELIVERANCE in three tenses of past, present, and future.
*God has delivered us from so great a death, he is delivering us now, and he will surely deliver us in the future. This is total deliverance.
What a joy to know that our God delivers! He delivers from bondage and heals broken hearts. He delivers from Death, Devils, Danger, Distress, Disease, Damnation, Destruction.
Here's a couple of testimonies from the psalmist says:
"He brought me forth also into a large place; he delivered me, because he delighted in me" - Ps.18:19.
"They cried unto thee, and were delivered: they trusted in thee, and were not confounded" - Ps.22:5.
"I sought the LORD, and he heard me, and delivered me from ALL my FEARS" - Ps.34:4.
"Then they cried unto the LORD in their trouble, and he delivered them out of their DISTRESSES" - Ps.107:6.
"He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their DESTRUCTIONS" - Ps.107:20.
"For thou hast delivered my soul from DEATH, mine eyes from TEARS, and my feet from FALLING" - Ps.116:8.
I could go on and on - the list is endless.
Remember God bailed you out yesterday. Look around you today, and see that he hasn't left your side, and now you can trust him for your tomorrow's deliverance. Trust him all the way and at all times. Amen.
