Focus: Taking God's Word Seriously!
Text: Heb.13:5
"He hath said."
Do you know that God has spoken? Do you know what God has spoken? Do you know what God does with His spoken word? Do you believe God's word?
Behind taking God's word seriously is the fact that your whole life depends on it. Behind taking God's word seriously is the fact that your future depends on it. Behind taking God's word seriously is the fact that God alone has "the words of eternal life" (Jh.6:68). Christ says, "The words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life" (Jh.6:63). God speaks words of life - enlivening and enlightening words, words fully animated and activated by the Spirit of God.
Do what God is asking you to do, because God's word is personally experienced and actualized by your own faith and obedience.
Are you hearing, receiving, embracing, saying, and obeying God's word? Do you know that it is God's word that will settle issues in your life?
Are you letting the words of Christ reside in your heart richly and permanently?
His words are pure and sure. His words cure our souls and bodies of our abnormalities and maladies. His words change our minds, hearts and lives. His words create our reality and give us something to hope for. His words touch us in the inner recesses of our beings, forge our faith and hopes, and activate our innate powers. His words rule our lives from the center, direct our path and illuminate our steps. His words captivate our minds, capture our hearts, and liberate our spirits. His words cleanse our system, saturate our inward ecosystem with the presence of God, sanitize sanctify and integrate our personalities, and create in us a clean space.
Indeed, His words make us real humans with divinity in the center, stirring us up to action and steering the wheels of our humanity toward a future designed, destined and engineered by God.
God's word grows, increases, multiplies and prevails. God's word works. God's word informs, fills and forms us. God's word is the decider of destinies and the determiner of realities. God's word is energetic, and you can tap into the infinite energy of God's word through faith and obedience. God's words set hearts on fire. Our spirits burn with the spoken words of God. God's words move heaven and earth for the good of those who believe in God. God's words move mountains and conquer obstacles. God's word is final. Let's take God's word seriously! God has said - so rest on it.
