Focus: Soul-winning!
Text: Act.18:10
"For I am with thee, and no man shall set on thee to hurt thee: for I have much people in this city."
God owns all souls, including the unsaved ones. The Lord said to Paul, "For I have MUCH PEOPLE in this city." God has a lot of people in your locality who are in need of salvation. God has many people in your neighborhood whom God longs to bring to the faith of Jesus Christ, and He wants to use you to get them saved. You are the Paul of today. Wherever you are, God planted you there to win souls.
The Lord said to Paul, "For I am with thee, and no man shall set on thee to hurt thee." The Lord would preserve Paul from any harm in order for him to win as many souls as possible.
Christ said to His listeners, "And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd" (Jh.10:16). Christ has a great number of souls in our cities and towns and villages who have yet to surrender to Him. They are still meandering in the pool of sin. They are daily being deceived by Satan and trapped in the world of sin. They are still sitting on the laps of the devil. They are helpless, powerless, hopeless, and godless. God wants them saved, and He wants to use you to realize it. Christ said to Paul, "Be of good cheer, Paul: for as thou hast testified of me in Jerusalem, so must thou bear witness also at Rome" (Act.23:11). God uses the saved to save the unsaved ones.
He wants you to testify of Him to the world around you. You are another testifier of our time.
After Peter's testimony, we read, "Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were ADDED unto them about three thousand souls… And the Lord ADDED to the church daily such as should be saved… And believers were the more ADDED to the Lord, multitudes both of men and women.)… and much people was ADDED unto the Lord" (Act.2:41,47; 5:14; 11:24). People were moved from the side of hell to the side of heaven. On daily basis people were being saved, and that is because true disciples were busy proclaiming Christ to the people and winning their hearts.
Soul-winning is the highest assignment of the church. God has a claim on souls yet unsaved, and He wants them saved, and He wants to use you for the sacred job.
The souls are in your corner. They are your acquaintances, relations, friends and family members. They are in your work place, and they are all around you. Let God use you! Open your mouth and tell someone about Jesus Christ. Be bold enough to talk about Jesus Christ! In that city where you live, God has many souls to liberate. Don't let them die without being saved!
