Text: Isa.3:10

"SAY ye to the righteous, that it shall be well with him: for they shall eat the fruit of their doings."

The Bible begins with the statement, "In the beginning God…" John begins his Gospel with the statement, "In the beginning was the Word…" That means that God and His Word preceded or predated creation. God and the Word had been from the very beginning.

Where God is, the Word is. In fact, by the Word time and space came to be. God spoke all of creation into existence. In Genesis one, we see the Speech-Acts of God. As far as God is concerned, words and deeds are related. The divine fiat produces feats of power. There are creative and curative virtues in the words that God says. His Word sanctifies, satisfies, sustains, transforms and enables.

There is power in the tongue, and words are powerful. Words can kill or make alive. The Lord Jesus Christ says, "That whosoever shall SAY unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he SAITH shall come to pass; HE SHALL HAVE WHATSOEVER HE SAITH." By faith you can have what you say. Words of faith come to pass.

Say what God says and you will have God's results. Our text says, "SAY ye to the righteous, It shall be WELL with you." 'Righteous' here refers to those who are made righteous by their faith in God, and who because of their faith in Christ are living righteously. Amid the chaos, confusion and catastrophes rocking our world, God tells His people to tell the righteous that it shall be good for him. God makes good things happen to good people in a bad world.

Life can be rough and tough, but the righteous should not be afraid. Jesus Christ prays for His disciples, "I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil" (Jh.17:15). God keeps or protects His own from evil and from the evil world. God will always be with the righteous to ensure that he survives the tests and troubles of this life. Say to the righteous that regardless of what goes on in the world, the righteous will sail through and never sink.

Say to the righteous… Say it and keep saying it that the righteous is okay in Christ. He is safe in God's hands.

It is not only what you say to the righteous, but also what you say to yourself. Matthew reports on the woman of issue of blood, who constantly, consistently, insistently, persistently and perseveringly said to herself, "If I may but touch his garment, I shall be whole" (Mt.9:21). Tell yourself something. Prophesy to yourself. Speak out your faith. Say what God says. Stand where God stands. Be about what God is about. Like the psalmist, say to God, "SAY unto my soul, I am thy salvation" (Ps.35:3). God is your salvation. Hear God saying it to you, "I am your salvation." Be the mouthpiece of God, and say to yourself what God is saying to you, "I am your salvation." The psalmist declares, "All my bones shall SAY, LORD, who is like unto thee, which deliverest the poor from him that is too strong for him, yea, the poor and the needy from him that spoileth him?" (Ps.35:10).

Let your whole being say it! Let your faith say it! Make your body say what God says. By words you create your world and frame your destiny. Say it, and keep saying it - It shall be well with the righteous, and that includes you. Amen!
