Focus: It's Good to Give 

Text: Prov.11:24-25 TLB.

"...give away and become richer!... Yes, the liberal man shall be rich! By watering others, he waters himself."

God gives us every day. He loads us with benefits. He fights and fends for us. Now, as his children he wants us to be and do like him, for we have his nature in us. He has made us partakers of his divine nature and he has given us power to being his children.

God wants us to make giving our style of living. Giving is like sowing. It results in a harvest. Seeds, when sown, go ahead of us. With our seeds we enrich our future. Seeds have capacity for multiplication. Whoever fails to sow or fails to keep sowing defrauds or robs himself of a great harvest.

Two things are most valuable in life: God's word and human souls. They are most valuable because they last forever. Investing in the gospel and in the souls of men is a sure way of investing in eternity.

Giving to God's work and to those in need in every way possible is a sure means to achieving durable riches. As God blessed Abraham to be a blessing, so he has blessed and keep blessing you to be a blessing.

Don't fail God. Don't disappoint yourself. Prove the word of God for yourself. O taste and see that the word of God is true! Amen.
