Focus: I Believe

Text: Mk.9:23

"All things are possible to him that believeth."

Christ never says a thing for saying sake. He means what He says and says what He means. He never says unreal or unrealistic things.

To the person who believes, nothing is ever impossible. Faith makes possible the impossible, because it is connected to God who does impossible things.

Only God can do the impossible, and so, if all things are possible to whoever believes, then it means that by faith the believer invites God into his space.

Faith is a powerful force on earth. It is a means by which God steps into action in the believer's life. The believer and God make an unbeatable team.

Christ says, "And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues" (Mk.16:17). Signs follow believers. God makes all things possible for the believer, and at the same time, supernatural signs follow him. How does this happen? Mark tells us, "And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen" (Mk.16:20). Signs follow believers because Christ from heaven goes with them everywhere, and He confirms His word with signs. He is the doer of the word; the believer is the preacher of the word. The believer goes everywhere in obedience to the divine commission, and the Lord goes with him to give attestation and confirmation to his word on the believer's lips. Christ works miracles through the believer. Christ makes the impossible possible for the believer.

Do you believe? By your faith you bring the supernatural power of God into the natural realm of existence. Faith works. Faith is real. Faith creates supernatural effects in the human space. Faith produces testimonies of a divine kind. Impossibilities give way to the man of faith. Signs follow the believer as he goes about preaching the word of God and doing the work of God. Believe God against the impossible. Always bear in mind that with God all things are possible. I believe!
