Text: Gen.3:21

"Unto Adam also and to his wife did the LORD God make coats of skins, and clothed them."

One aspect of God's goodness is that He never leaves us the same way He met us. He changes our story for good. He turns our lives into a tapestry of majesty. He turns our tears of sadness into tears of gladness. He touches the dead, and He lives again. With the spit of His mouth Christ cures abnormalities.

Your story changes wherever God meets you. He is the designer or orchestrator of meeting points. Everyone God met in the Bible days lived to tell the story, and it was always a story of glory, not of gloom or doom. Ask Enoch, Noah, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph, or Moses, and they would tell you better. I believe a testimony is sweeter in the mouth of the testifier - the one with the firsthand experience and evidence. I must say with utmost certainty that the goodness of God is better felt than told. The psalmist says, "O taste, and see that the Lord is good."

God came into the garden of Eden to meet with Adam, and He found him naked, feeling ashamed and hiding in shame. Obviously, God knew that something had gone wrong with Adam. Then God dealt with all that led to the nakedness, guilt and shame, and just before He left him, He made sure that Adam's problem of nakedness was solved. Our text says, "Unto Adam also and to his wife did the LORD God make coats of skins, and clothed them." God took care of the problem. He did not leave them the same way that He met them. He calmed their nerves with His kindness, touched their hearts with His love, showed them His goodness, and gave them hope. They found grace and mercy in His sight. God strongly opposed their sin, but also, He ensured that they did not die as sinners.

God sends no one to hell. Every one who goes there is self-sent, not God-sent.

God is good. Taste His goodness for yourself! Luke reports the case of a dangerous lunatic and what happened after Christ met with him, "Then they went out to see what was done; and came to Jesus, and found the man, out of whom the devils were departed, sitting at the feet of Jesus, clothed, and in his right mind: and they were afraid" (Lk.8:35). Our Lord Jesus Christ did not leave him the same way He met him. He met him mad and left him sane. He met him lost and left him saved. He met him in bondage and left him a free man. He met him naked and left him clothed. Luke tells us that he was "sitting at the feet of Jesus, clothed, and in his right mind." What a change! What an impact! What a difference Christ makes in our lives at different meeting points!

Luke also tells us that the demons that had him as their residence were gone for good. They could not stand the presence and power of Jesus Christ. Christ made them leave. He gave them quit notice with immediate effect. They lost whatever right they had to occupancy. Whatever tenancy agreement they had with the man was immediately nullified. They instantly vacated the premises of his whole personality. That is how good God is!

Satan can't stay where Christ has stepped into. Satan is sacked wherever God steps into.

I pray for you to encounter the goodness of God in your life right now. I pray that you taste and see that the Lord is good and gracious. I pray for your story to change for good. Experience the healing power of Christ now. God will not only meet with you, but also, He will lift you up, help you, make His face shine on you, meet you at the point of your need, bless you beyond measure, and use you to advance His purpose in this world. Amen! God is good!
