Text: Ps.56:9

"When I cry unto thee, then shall mine enemies turn back: this I know; for God is for me."

What can you boldly, confidently and surely say about your God, both in good and bad times? The psalmist says, "This I know; for God is for me." Job says, "I know that my redeemer lives." Paul says, "I know in whom I have believed." What do you know for sure about your God? Can you defend your God and your faith?

The psalmist declares, "God is for me." He says that the God you and I know is for him. Do you know that? Are you sure of it? The Apostle Paul says, "If God is for us, who then can be against us?"

You had better believe it, that God is for you, not against you!

He is in your corner to save, help, bless and secure you. God says to you, "Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness… For I the LORD thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, Fear not; I will help thee. Fear not, thou worm Jacob, and ye men of Israel; I will help thee, saith the LORD, and thy redeemer, the Holy One of Israel" (Isa.41:10,13,14).

I am fully persuaded that God is for you; He is in you, with you, before you, behind you, around you, over you, and remember that "the eternal God is thy refuge, and UNDERNEATH are the everlasting arms: and he shall thrust out the enemy from before thee; and shall say, Destroy them" (Dt.33:27). God is for you for life and eternity. He was there for you in the days gone by. He is still here for you now, and will forever be for you.

Be rest assured of that! It doesn't always look like He's there, but the truth is that He is there, regardless of how it may seem to you. He is eternally faithful and absolutely true.

Be proud of God whose you are and whom you serve! He is your God, and He is mighty to save and secure you. Be confident and courageous! Be bold and believing! Be happy and hopeful!
