Focus: God Answers Prayers
Text: 1Sam.1:27
"FOR THIS CHILD I PRAYED; and the LORD hath given me the petition which I asked of him" - 1Sam.1:27.
Hannah is testifying. She says in essence, Here is the child I asked God for! Hannah is jubilant as she holds in her hands a visible and tangible manifestation of her prayer.
I make a declaration today, that as Hannah held in her hand the answer to her prayer, it shall come to pass that you too will see with your own eyes and testify with your own mouth the tangible result of your own prayers.
Hear me, no prayer of yours is a waste. You have not prayed in vain. Our God will grant you the desire of your heart. Hallelujah!
Samuel means, 'asked of the Lord.' You will soon hold in your very hands your own 'Samuel' - that which you asked of God. You will soon return to give thanks to the Lord.
In 1Sam.2:21, God gave to Hannah three boys and two girls after Samuel. That means that there is more where Samuel came from. God who gave the first blessing has more blessings to give. God is the source of our supply and the source of surplus. So I boldly declare that for as long as you live, the blessings of God will keep coming your way, and you will keep testifying of the Lord's goodness. Yes, our God answers prayer! Amen.
