Text: Ps.34:3-4
"O magnify the LORD with me, and let us exalt his name together. I sought the LORD, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears" - Ps.34:3-4.
Paul talks of inner fears (2Cor.7:5). The psalmist talks about fear on every side, and also, of imaginary fear - being afraid for nothing (Ps.31:13; 53:5). He prays, "Preserve my life from fear of the enemy" - Ps.64:1.
There is FEAR of all sorts:
*Fear of meeting an empty future
*Fear of the unknown
*Fear of failure
*Fear of the past resurfacing
*Fear of aloneness
*Fear of loss
*Fear of danger and sudden disaster
*Fear of evil
*Fear of the devil
*Fear of death
Just name it! Yet the psalmist assures us by his own testimony that the Lord will deliver his people. Remember that he has delivered you in the past. He is delivering you even now, and I am most certain that he will deliver you in the future.
Right now, he says to you, Do not fear. And I prophesy that you will soon invite others to celebrate with you. Your next testimony shall be a celebration. You will not celebrate alone. People will hear of what the Lord has done for you and join in the celebration. Amen.
