Focus: Go Again and Again! (Pt.2)
Text: 1Kgs.18:43
"And said to his servant, Go up now, look toward the sea. And he went up, and looked, and said, There is nothing. And he said, GO AGAIN SEVEN TIMES."
"Go again seven times." That is the language of success. No one succeeds by quitting or giving up. Success involves repeated actions that lead to success. Faith sees beyond nothing to something. Faith is the divine capacity that transforms one's potential into reality.
One thing Satan hates is to see you succeed in life. He discourages you from going again and again until success is achieved. He does everything in his power to make you quit somewhere along the way. Here's what Pharaoh said to Moses, "I will let you go, that ye may sacrifice to the LORD your God in the wilderness; ONLY ye shall not go very far away…" (Ex.8:28). Pharaoh doesn't want you to go far in life, especially when it has to do with God. He doesn't want you to go far with God.
He wants you to give God moderate worship, casual sacrifice, usual zeal, convenient obedience to God, and ordinary spirituality. He hates for you to go far enough in your consecration and commitment to God.
One thing you must know is that success has no respect for moderation. The Lord Jesus Christ says, "And whosoever shall compel thee to go a mile, go with him TWAIN" (Mt.5:41). He says again, "That except your righteousness shall EXCEED the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven" (Mt.5:20). Those who succeed comply with the law of the extra mile. Moderation doesn't cut it. Go beyond the moderate - go all the way.
Whoever wants to hit a star must aim higher than it. Aim higher than the goal you want to reach.
A hymn writer says that "they build too low who build beneath the sky." Extremity is the language of success.
Do you want to succeed in life? How far are you willing to go in achieving it? Then keep going until you see a handful of cloud. Keep believing until you see a heavy downpour from heaven upon your life - a flood of divine blessings and a deluge of success. Go again and again. "Go again seven times."
Extra-mile is the language of success. If you want to succeed, go the extra mile. Go all the way. Invest every ounce of energy in you. Make every effort to achieve great feat in life. Don't settle for the mundane; go for the sublime. Don't settle for less; your life is designed for more. You are capable of the incredible.
