Focus: Enemies to Success (Pt.3)

Text: 2Chron.26:5

"And he sought God in the days of Zechariah, who had understanding in the visions of God: and as long as he sought the LORD, God made him to prosper."

God MADE Uzziah prosper, and He will MAKE you prosper, too. He is the source of success and the God of prosperity.

We have discussed two enemies of success already, and they are you and other people. 

The third enemy of success is CIRCUMSTANCES. 

On the path of success you meet with odds and curves, twists and turns, difficulties and challenges. You constantly meet with unfavorable conditions and circumstances - less funds or lack of resources, larger needs and meager means, factors that you didn't factor in, things not working out as planned, unforeseen circumstances, disappointments, failures of people who don't deliver on time or on their promises, difficult people to deal with, etc. 

Matthew says, "But the ship was now in the midst of the sea, tossed with waves: for the wind was CONTRARY" (Mt.14:24). Mark says, "And he saw them toiling in rowing; for the wind was CONTRARY UNTO THEM" (Mk.6:48). Luke reports, "And when we had launched from thence, we sailed under Cyprus, because the winds were CONTRARY" (Act.27:4). 

On the voyage to success you often face contrary tides and the contradictions of men. That is why you need guts to succeed in this life.

Don't let circumstances keep you from succeeding. There is always a way where there is no way. Challenges are surmountable. Mountains are climbable. Problems are solvable. Issues can be nipped in the board. Questions have answers. Fears can be banished. Doubts can be dissolved. Needs can be met. Yokes can be broken. Limitations can be limited. Losses can turn to gains. Difficult people can be defeated. Darkness can give way to light. 

Weeping endures just for the night, but joy comes in the morning. What is not doable today can become doable tomorrow. As another has said, "The road to success is always under construction." Impossibilities can bow to the omnipotent power of your God. Success is achievable, regardless of contrary circumstances. You can conquer the enemies of success in your life and rise above the tidal waves and billows that come against you. Amen!!!
