Focus: Enemies to Success (Pt.2)

Text: 2Chron.26:5 

"And he sought God in the days of Zechariah, who had understanding in the visions of God: and as long as he sought the LORD, God made him to prosper."

What's really success? How best can we define or describe it? Basically, I believe that success is about making something great or phenomenal out of your life. 

It is about filling a role and fulfilling a grand purpose in the world. It is about transforming one's world from the way we met it. It is about living life in a meaningful way and making one's world a better place. It is about giving the world the music that is inside of you. It is about leaving one's world better than we met it. 

Success is giving our world a bit of us and the best of us that is not in anyone else to give. God is never an enemy of your prosperity or success. Indeed, He made and equipped you to succeed in your field of endeavor. If you ever fail in life, God is not to blame. 

Like I said in the first part of this message, there are four enemies to success, and the first of them is you. 

It is you that can really stop you from achieving the success or the greatness that you want in this life.

The next enemy is others. 

Jonah was the reason for his own suffering in the ship, and he was also the reason that his fellow voyagers were suffering in the storm. People being what they are, they often become clogs in the wheel of your progress. They stand in your way and hinder you from succeeding. They sit on top of your progress. They discourage you. They ill-advise you. They make you believe that you can't make it. They hate your guts and dogged determination to make it. They do anything and everything in their power to keep you from getting ahead of them. They make life very difficult for you. They talk you out of wonderful opportunities. 

It is said that the world will never give you the things you deserve, but only the things you fight for. People make you fight for virtually everything. You keep meeting with a new devil at every new level. The truth is that God can make you prosper regardless of whatever people do to make you fail. 

True success is achievable in this life by the grace of God. The unattainable is obtainable by the power of God.

God has given you the power to make wealth and to succeed in your field of endeavor. Decide that you are not going to hinder yourself from achieving success in life, and decide that you are not going to let others hinder you from succeeding in this world. Listen, you are born to succeed, you are bound to succeed, and you are due to becoming a success.
