Text: Rom.8:19

"For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God."

Everything that God has made patiently waits to see the sons of God manifest their full glory.

When Joseph dreamed of his future glory, his parents and brothers were doubtful, skeptical, and even cynical about it. His brothers especially thought that he was being delusional, cocky in his attitude, or simply big headed. They nicknamed him the dreamer. At a point they didn't know what to make of his dreams, because he kept dreaming and looking at his glorious future. So they mocked, envied and hated him. They even planned of killing him, but on a second thought, they decided to sell him to the slave traders, who took him to Egypt and sold him to the highest bidder.

Joseph went through the crucible of loneliness in a strange land, far away from home. The only thing Joseph had going for him was his dreams and the assurance of God's presence, and with the help of God, he survived slavery, false accusation of his master's wife, and unjust imprisonment. Then came the day when his glorious future came calling and in an instant his lifetime dreams became a reality. His brothers came to Egypt and saw him in his full glory. In fact, they couldn't recognize him until he revealed himself to them. Joseph said to his brothers as they prepared to return to Canaan, "And, behold, your eyes see, and the eyes of my brother Benjamin, that it is my mouth that speaketh unto you. And ye shall TELL my father of ALL MY GLORY in Egypt, and ALL that ye have SEEN…" (Gen.45:12-13). Joseph had so much glory to manifest in Egypt and before his brothers. His glory became a global news.

A day is coming when the sons of God will manifest themselves to all of creation. All of creation anxiously anticipates that day.

The Apostle Paul tells us that "the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God" (Rom.8:21). All of creation will be liberated from the bondage of decay and will participate in the glorious liberty of the sons of God. All of creation will triumphantly shout out, 'Freedom at last; Freedom at last.'

In the last verse of chapter three of Ephesians, Paul exclaims, "Unto him be GLORY IN the church BY Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen" (Eph.3:21). The words 'in' and 'by' are the same word in the Greek. God's glory is located both in Christ and in the church. The church is ordained to manifest the glory of God to the world. His glory is revealed by Christ and His church to the world.

Don't keep the world waiting forever! It's time for us as sons of God to manifest the glory of God to the people of the world. Let's kick the ball and keep it rolling!
