Focus: All Grace

Text: 2Cor.9:8

"And God is able to make ALL GRACE abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work."

One of God's descriptions is "the God of all grace." Peter says, "But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you" (1Pet.5:10). God's grace is manifold - variegated and multifaceted. God's grace touches all facets of the Christian faith and life.

Paul says, "Ye KNOW the grace of Lord Jesus Christ…" Knowing the grace of Christ personally and intimately is vital for the believer in Christ. Experiencing grace in its totality is essential for all believers. We need to receive grace after grace and go from grace to grace. Peter calls on us to "grow in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ" (2Pet.3:18). There are dimensions of grace in which God wants us to explore and grow.

Listen to the Apostle Paul, "And by their prayer for you, which long after you for the exceeding grace of God in you" (2Cor.9:14). God's grace is abundant and exceeding. In the epistle of Peter, he greets the people of God by saying to them, "Grace be multiplied to you." Grace abounds in God. It flows and overflows. It is a multiplication of grace. One grace opens the door for another grace.

There is praying grace, laboring grace, reigning grace, living grace, heirship grace, giving grace, suffering grace, and so on and so forth. 

God wants us to open up to the grace of Christ in all aspects of our lives. God wants you to excel in all dimensions of grace.

Paul says, "And God is able to make ALL GRACE abound toward you; that ye, always having ALL SUFFICIENCY in ALL THINGS, may abound to every good work" (2Cor.9:8). God of ALL GRACE, ALL SUFFICIENCY, ALL THINGS, and grace for EVERY GOOD WORK. Grace covers all spectrum of life. Grace is God's ability for God's activity and for God's intended result. Grace makes us efficient and effective in our daily walk with God.

Paul writes, "Insomuch that we desired Titus, that as he had begun, so he would also finish in you the SAME GRACE ALSO." He continues, "Therefore, as ye abound in every thing, in faith, and utterance, and knowledge, and in all diligence, and in your love to us, see that ye abound in THIS GRACE ALSO" (2Cor.8:6,7). We can't afford to make do with only one aspect of divine grace while ignoring or neglecting the rest of divine grace. Don't abound only in one grace and forsake the rest. Here Paul is referring to giving grace - the grace to be generous and liberal to all of God's people, especially to the needy among us. We need to excel in every aspect of the grace of God.

There's grace for whatever God wants us to do for Him. He never leaves us to labor with our own strength or use our own means for His own purposes. He empowers us with His grace for every divine endeavor. Obedience is made possible through grace.

Paul says, "Even G2532 so ye, forasmuch as ye are zealous of spiritual gifts, seek that ye may EXCEL to the edifying of the church" (1Cor.14:12). 

Excel in prayer. Excel in faith. Excel in generosity. Excel in good works. Excel in love. Excel in all things. Excel in THIS grace also. Our God is the God of ALL grace. Let's avail ourselves of all his grace. Make use of grace, and make no room for excuses.
